We are seeking a Principal Consultant – Metallurgy & Mineral Processing to help grow our presence in Vancouver.

Backed by a proven Australian mining advisory framework, and reporting to the Senior Manager EMEA this is an opportunity to bring world‑class technical methodologies into the North American market while helping build a next‑generation consulting business.

This role suits a highly technical metallurgist or process engineer who thrives on autonomy and wants to make a direct technical and commercial impact.

About Us
Palaris is a specialist advisory firm to the mining and resources sector across the world. With over 5,000 projects delivered in over 50 countries across 30 different commodity types, we are the trusted advisor to resource companies, financial institutions, equity investors, and government agencies.

Our service delivery is across independent advisory, due diligences, technical and mine optimisation studies, engineering and asset management, project services, safety, health & risk, and decarbonisation.

Why This Role is Different

A 9‑day fortnight – every second Friday off
High‑trust, low‑bureaucracy environment
Direct exposure to investors, boards, and decision‑makers
Autonomy to shape projects, clients, and delivery approaches

Growth – Client & Commercial Engagement

Build relationships with mining companies, investors, and lenders
Contribute to winning work and expanding client networks
Represent the firm in technical and investor‑facing forums
Help establish and scale North American operations, contributing to revenue growth and client acquisition
Build a pipeline of advisory opportunities by strengthening market presence in North America
