Our client is looking for a highly skilled Metallurgist to drive process optimization initiatives at their facility near Randburg . This role is central to improving recovery rates, reducing operating costs, and ensuring the efficient processing of mineral concentrates. You will analyze plant data, conduct pilot tests, and implement improvements across various metallurgical processes, including comminution, flotation, and leaching. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated metallurgist to contribute significantly to operational efficiency and innovation within a leading mining group in Gauteng .Key Responsibilities Analyze metallurgical plant data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.Conduct laboratory and pilot plant test work to evaluate new process parameters and technologies.Develop and implement strategies to optimize mineral recovery, reagent consumption, and product quality.Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support to plant operations teams.Collaborate with R&D and engineering departments on process design and upgrades.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and site personnel.Requirements

Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in metallurgical processing, with a focus on base metals or precious metals .Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, including comminution, flotation, leaching, and refining.Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.Experience with process optimization techniques and statistical process control.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a plant environment.Benefits
