Executive Summary
This section of the NI 43-101 Technical Report outlines the recovery methods considered for the Douay West Gold Property. Due to the current estimates of the quantity of potential mill feed, the construction of an on-site processing facility is not justified. Instead, the study evaluates potential off-site processing facilities within a moderate trucking distance.
The closest facility identified is the Sleeping Giant mill, located approximately 50 kilometres south of the Douay West project. This facility was placed on care and maintenance in late 2014. Initial testing of the Douay West mill feed indicated that gravity and flotation processes would not yield acceptable results.
However, the tests demonstrated that the mill feed reacts well to cyanidation. A recovery rate between 92% and 94% is expected, with the lower value of 92% adopted for the study. This suggests a viable processing route via the nearby Sleeping Giant mill despite the lack of on-site infrastructure.
