Executive Summary
This section of the NI 43-101 Technical Report details the recovery methods for the Catanava Gold Property. The process begins with gravimetric concentration, where ore is transported by truck to a discharge area and deposited into a coarse ore bin with a capacity of approximately 100 tonnes. The ore undergoes primary crushing via a jaw crusher, reducing the size to one inch, followed by secondary crushing in a cone crusher to achieve a size of 1/8 inch.
Following crushing, the ore is screened and the fine fraction is sent to a fine ore bin before entering a ball mill. The ball mill dimensions are five feet wide and ten feet long, designed to liberate gold and silver. The mill discharge is pumped to a cyclone separator, where oversize material is recirculated to the mill. The undersize is processed through up to four Action Micron Mill Wave tables, which act as sluice boxes to concentrate the heavy fraction.
The concentrate from the wave tables is processed in an onsite laboratory by melting to produce a doré bar or button. Water usage is estimated at 60,000 to 70,000 litres per day, with 70% recycled in a closed loop back to the ball mill. Tailings are pumped to a tailings pond previously used in production.
