Golden Chest Project — 2017 Technical Report

The simplified flowsheet for processing material from the Project is shown in Figure 17.1.

This report details the proposed processing flowsheet, historical mill operating data, and metallurgical testwork for the Golden Chest Project in Idaho, USA, effective August 31, 2017.

Report context

This NI 43-101 technical report for the Golden Chest Project, Idaho, USA, was prepared with an effective date of August 31, 2017, and an issue date of November 30, 2017. The report describes mineral processing and recovery methods for gold mineralization from the Golden Chest deposit, based on a proposed flowsheet at the New Jersey Mill, historical operating data from processing Golden Chest material, and metallurgical testwork programs.

Processing route

Proposed New Jersey Mill Flowsheet

The proposed New Jersey Mill process flowsheet is described for processing Golden Chest material. The flowsheet incorporates crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, flotation, and cyanidation of flotation concentrate.

Run-of-mine ore is delivered to a coarse ore bin. Material is fed to a jaw crusher and then to a cone crusher in closed circuit with a vibrating screen. Screen undersize reports to a fine ore bin.

Ore from the fine ore bin is fed to a ball mill operating in closed circuit with a cyclone classifier. Cyclone overflow passes to a gravity concentration circuit. Gravity concentrate is collected on a concentrating table to produce a final gravity gold product.

Gravity circuit tailings feed a flotation circuit. Flotation rougher concentrate is reground in a regrind mill. Reground concentrate reports to flotation cleaner cells. Cleaner concentrate is thickened and pumped to a cyanidation circuit.

Flotation concentrate undergoes cyanide leaching in agitated tanks. Leach residue is filtered, and the filtrate reports to a Merrill-Crowe precipitation circuit for gold recovery. Flotation tailings are thickened and pumped to a tailings storage facility.

Historical Mill Operation (Golden Chest Material)

The mill operation summary for Golden Chest material provides historical operating data. The New Jersey Mill processed material from the Golden Chest deposit during a period of historical operations. Operating data include throughput rates, feed grades, and recovery performance achieved during that period.

The mill processed Golden Chest material through the existing flowsheet. Historical performance was recorded for gold recovery, concentrate grades, and tailings grades.

Metallurgical Testwork

Testing at the New Jersey Mill

Metallurgical testing was conducted at the New Jersey Mill to evaluate the processing characteristics of Golden Chest mineralization. The testwork program examined gravity recovery, flotation response, and cyanidation of flotation concentrates. Samples representative of the Golden Chest deposit were tested to determine optimal processing parameters.

Testing for Juniper Mining Company

Additional metallurgical testing was performed for Juniper Mining Company. This testwork program evaluated the metallurgical performance of Golden Chest material under varying processing conditions. Test results informed the proposed flowsheet design and expected recoveries.
