The 2019 Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for the Patterson Lake South (PLS) property outlines a comprehensive metallurgical process design for uranium recovery. The plant is designed to process 350,000 tonnes of ore per annum, utilizing a conventional acid leach flowsheet adapted for the specific mineralogy of the Athabasca Basin. The design emphasizes high recovery rates, projected at 94.9% to 97.1%, while ensuring environmental compliance through multi-stage effluent treatment and tailings neutralization.

The processing facility incorporates modern innovations in uranium metallurgy, including counter-current decantation, solvent extraction, and yellowcake precipitation. Although the deposit contains some gold, current economic analysis excludes its recovery from the design; however, the plant maintains the flexibility to integrate gold recovery should market conditions shift. The facility is designed for high availability and maintenance efficiency, reflecting the standard practices of the Saskatchewan uranium sector.
