Executive Summary
This technical report describes the South Arturo Mine project located in Nevada, USA. The mine proposes to process ore through one of three possible routes depending on ore characteristics and economics: ROM heap leaching, milling and CIL (Carbon-in-Leach), or roasting and CIL. Metallurgical testing and mineralogical studies were conducted to support a Feasibility Study. The majority of precious metal production will come from ore trucked to existing Barrick processing circuits located approximately 12.9 km away over improved gravel roads. The processing route will be selected based on maximizing net cash flow.
Processing Methods
ROM Heap Leaching
ROM material will be segregated in the waste dump for potential future heap leach processing. Material will be placed on a permanent leach pad by haul trucks, with cyanide solution distributed via drip emitters. Pregnant solution will be collected and pumped to a carbon adsorption circuit. Loaded carbon will be trucked to the existing autoclave carbon processing circuit for stripping and refining.
Oxide Ore Milling/CIL
Oxidized mill grade ore will be processed using the existing grinding and CIL circuits at Cortez on a campaign basis. The circuit includes crushing, semi-autogenous grinding (SAG), ball milling, grind thickening, carbon-in-column (CIC) circuit, CIL circuit, tailings CCD wash thickener circuit, carbon stripping and reactivation, and a refinery to produce gold doré.
Roaster/CIL
Refractory carbonaceous and sulphidic ore will be toll processed at the Goldstrike roaster circuit on a campaign basis. The roaster pre-oxidizes the ore to enable effective processing in a traditional CIL circuit.
