Pueblo Viejo Mine Mineral Processing Circuit

The Pueblo Viejo Mine in the Dominican Republic uses advanced technologies to process its gold ore. First, the ore undergoes crushing and grinding before being treated with flotation to recover valuable minerals. Due to the refractory nature of the ore, the next stage involves pressure oxidation (POX) in autoclaves, which breaks down the sulfide structure to expose gold particles. This is followed by cyanide leaching to extract the gold. The plant also includes a neutralization circuit for the tailings, ensuring environmental compliance.
