Executive Summary
This technical report outlines the proposed mineralised material treatment route for the Solwara 1 project by Nautilus. Currently, there are no Mineral Reserve estimates, and the potential viability has not been supported by a pre-feasibility or feasibility study. The terms mineralised material and material denote mineralised material above an economic cut-off grade on which the proposed mining, processing, and product shipping activities are designed to operate.
The proposed mining method involves pumping broken mineralised material to surface via a riser and lifting system. The material is then sent to a dewatering plant with double-decked screens to separate size fractions and reduce moisture below 10%. The dewatered material is stored on a production support vessel before being loaded onto bulk carriers for transport to a port.
Processing will occur at a custom-built concentrator adjacent to the Tongling Smelter in Anhui Province, PRC, under an agreement with Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Co. Ltd. The concentrator produces copper and pyrite concentrates. Copper concentrate is treated in a double flash smelter, while pyrite concentrate is treated in an acid plant and precious metals recovery circuits.
