Executive Summary
The Midwest Main and Midwest A deposits are currently not considered an advanced property. Any uranium mineralization mined from these deposits is anticipated to be processed at the MLJV McClean Lake facilities. Details concerning recovery methods for the Midwest Property have yet to be determined at this time.
The McClean Lake mill, located on the McClean Lake property, has processed ores from several deposits including JEB, Sue A, Sue B, Sue C, and Sue E. It is currently processing ore from the Cigar Lake mine. The mill employs a comprehensive suite of technical operations to recover uranium.
Technical operations include SAG and ball mill grinding, slurry leaching, and Counter-Current Decantation (CCD). Further processing steps involve pregnant solution clarification, solvent extraction, and precipitation of Yellowcake. The process concludes with crystallization of ammonium sulphate, tailings neutralization, disposal, and water treatment.
