Executive Summary
This Pre-Feasibility Study (PEA) for the West Cache Gold Property outlines metallurgical testwork and processing options for gold recovery. Based on recent testwork, two primary flowsheets were evaluated: a dedicated gravity-float-leach option and toll processing at existing regional facilities. The preferred flowsheet involves gravity concentration of free gold using centrifuges and tabling, followed by flotation of a gold-sulphide concentrate and cyanidation of the reground float concentrate. This option achieved combined recoveries averaging 97% and produces cyanide-free flotation tailings suitable for mine backfill.
Toll processing options were also analyzed, with Option A (4,500 tpd capacity, 25 km haulage) deemed more attractive than Option B (2,000 tpd capacity, 60 km haulage). Option A includes gravity concentration and cyanide leach with CIP recovery, achieving 96.9% recovery on recent feed. The study assumes 2,400 tpd of West Cache material would be processed via toll processing, with a fraction of tailings back-hauled for backfill. Sorting considerations using X-ray transmission (XRT) were discussed but not tested, pending further mineralogical analysis to determine free gold deportment.
