Executive Summary

This section of the NI 43-101 Technical Report outlines the recovery methods and potential flowsheet for the Beravina Zircon Project. The Beravina material has demonstrated responsiveness to several processing options, including dense media separation, magnetic separation, and reverse flotation. An un-optimized flowsheet has been developed to allow for the calculation of a preliminary mass balance, indicating that further development work is required to finalize the process.

The proposed flowsheet involves crushing the feed to 1 mm, followed by screening at 150 µm and desliming at 45 µm. The coarse fraction is processed through shaking tables with magnetic separation on the sinks, while the intermediate fraction undergoes similar treatment. Non-magnetic concentrates are combined and milled before undergoing desliming, sulphide flotation, and fluorspar flotation. The final stage utilizes Heavy Liquid Separation (HLS) to produce the zircon concentrate.

Recovery estimates based on the test work indicate a final ZrO2 concentrate grade of approximately 57.7% with an overall recovery of 49.8%. HfO2 recovery is estimated at 48.7% with a grade of 1.19%. Significant losses of Zirconium are attributed to desliming slimes, representing a 25.6% loss, which is identified as a key area for ongoing test work optimization.
