Gold Road Mine — 2018 Technical Report

This report presents a preliminary economic assessment of the Gold Road Mine based on historical data, metallurgical testwork, and proposed processing design.

Report context

The NI 43-101 Technical Report, Preliminary Economic Assessment of the Gold Road Mine, Arizona, USA, dated 3 May 2018, was prepared for Para Resources Inc. The report describes a property located 15 miles northeast of the Arizona-California-Nevada border. The study encompasses mineral processing and metallurgical testing, recovery methods, and project infrastructure, with resources classified as Inferred. This preliminary economic assessment is preliminary in nature and includes Inferred Mineral Resources considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied for categorization as mineral reserves.

Processing route

Historical plant production data

Old plant production data (Table 13-1) and new plant production data (Table 13-3) are reported in Section 13, Mineral Processing and Metallurgical Testing. No specific tonnages or grades from these tables are detailed in the provided text.

Metallurgical testwork

Testwork conducted by IC Technologies Inc. in 1993 is documented in Table 13-2 of Section 13. The nature and results of this testwork are not described in the available text.

Proposed process design

Section 17, Recovery Methods, contains the process flow diagram (Figure 17-1), plant layout (Figure 17-2), and tailings storage facility (Figure 17-3). Principal process parameters are listed in Table 17-1. Principal process equipment is detailed in Table 17-2. No flowsheet details, equipment specifications, or performance data from these figures and tables are provided in the supplied text.

Infrastructure

Section 18, Project Infrastructure, includes a general mine layout (Figure 18-1) and layout of mine surface facilities (Figure 18-2). Principal infrastructure facilities are listed in Table 18-1. Administrative personnel requirements (Table 18-2) and ore-processing personnel requirements (Table 18-3) are documented in the same section.

Technical qualifications

This preliminary economic assessment is based on resources classified as Inferred. The report states that the PEA is preliminary in nature and includes Inferred Mineral Resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorized as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the preliminary economic assessment will be realized. The report notes that review of the processing facility and infrastructure, trade-off studies for ore transport from underground to surface, and evaluation of mining methods were undertaken as part of the study.
