Executive Summary

The Combined Makwa and Mayville Project by Mustang Minerals Corp. outlines a proposed concentrator facility designed to process mineralized material from both the Makwa and Mayville deposits. The facility is planned for the Mayville site with tailings management facilities located there, requiring trucking of material from Makwa. The design throughput is set at 8,600 tonnes per day based on 96% availability, equating to three million tonnes of mineralized material annually. Construction is proposed in two phases, with Phase 1 focusing on Makwa and Phase 2 on Mayville, allowing for modifications to be installed during operation.

Phase 1 (Makwa) involves conventional multistage crushing followed by two-stage grinding in closed circuit with hydrocyclones. The ground material undergoes rougher and scavenger flotation, with the concentrate sent to a cleaner circuit. The final concentrate is thickened, filtered, dried, and stored for shipment to a railhead at Molson, Manitoba. Tailings and scavenger concentrates are managed through regrind mills and thickeners to reclaim process water for reuse in the grinding circuit.

Phase 2 (Mayville) utilizes the same crushing and grinding circuit but adds specific modifications to handle copper recovery. These include a regrind mill for rougher concentrate, a scavenger cleaner conditioning tank, and additional cleaner flotation cells. The Mayville operation produces two concentrates (nickel and copper), with the copper concentrate undergoing thickening and filtering in a new storage area. Transfer between phases is assumed to occur quickly, under one month.
