Executive Summary
This section details the recovery methods for the Kihitian, Isivilla and Corani Uranium Complexes. A preliminary process design based on metallurgical testing (GBM PEA) was developed. The process involves crushing ore to 50mm, stacking on a heap leach pad, and leaching with sulphuric acid. Uranium is recovered via ion exchange, solvent extraction, and precipitation to form ammonium diuranate (yellowcake). The plant is designed for a 10-year life with a throughput of 1147 tonnes/hr.
