Executive Summary
This technical report section outlines the preliminary proposed recovery methods for the Foxtrot Project, managed by Search Minerals Inc. The process is designed to recover a mixed Rare Earth Element (REE) product through a series of unit operations including crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, magnetic separation, flotation, acid baking, water leaching, and solution purification.
The proposed flow begins with ore crushing and grinding to a suitable size for gravity recovery, potentially utilizing tabling to separate sized material. Following gravity recovery, magnetic separation is employed to remove magnetite from the non-magnetics. The tailings from gravity and the flotation concentrate are combined for further processing.
Subsequent steps involve acid baking followed by water leaching. The resulting REE-containing solution undergoes purification before oxalic acid is added to precipitate a mixed Rare Earth Oxide (REO) product. This solid product is separated from the liquid residue for final disposal or storage.
