Executive Summary
This technical report outlines the recovery methods for the Joaquin mineralization, which is amenable to cyanidation. The ore is planned to be trucked to the existing Manantial Espejo cyanide leach plant for processing on a campaign basis. The operation involves a treatment rate of approximately 2,160 tonnes per day, with material leached at 45% solids and a total retention time of 87 hours.
The processing circuit includes a primary crusher, a combined SAG mill and ball mill grinding circuit, and a regrind circuit. Following grinding, the ore undergoes cyanide leaching in a series of tanks, followed by a four-stage counter current decantation process. The pregnant leach solution is treated in a Merrill-Crowe plant to precipitate silver and gold, which are then melted into doré bars. Power is supplied by generator sets, and reagents include lime and sodium cyanide.
