Lavoie Project – 43-101 Technical Report

Company Strateco
Date Unknown

Executive Summary

The Lavoie Project Preliminary Economic Assessment assumes ore will be transported 365 km to the Matoush property for off-site processing. To mitigate transportation costs, automated ore sorting technology utilizing radiometric sensors is proposed. This system separates uranium-bearing ore from gangue on an individual rock basis by measuring gamma ray emissions, reducing the volume of material to be transported by approximately 42%.

The sorting technology is considered proven, with existing applications at Rio Tinto uranium operations such as the Rössing mine in Namibia and the ERA Ranger mine in Australia. The process involves third-generation laser scanning techniques to correlate particle size with gamma ray emission levels, allowing electronic processors to accept or reject particles based on preset criteria.

Further study is required to confirm the compatibility of Lavoie material with the Matoush processing plant. Potential modifications to the plant and increased chemical consumption may impact capital and processing costs, respectively.
