Executive Summary
This NI 43-101 Technical Report and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) outlines the recovery methods and process plant design for the Marban Project. The design focuses on capital cost-effective mill operations with a target grind size of 80% passing 100 µm. The process plant is designed for a throughput of 4.0 Mt/a (10,960 t/d) and utilizes a combination of crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, and leaching circuits.
Key process design criteria were derived from preliminary comminution testwork, including a Bond Crusher Work Index of 16.5 kWh/t and a Bond Ball Mill Work Index of 11.0 kWh/t. The overall process recovery for Gold (Au) is targeted at 93.7%, with the Leach-CIL (L-CIL) circuit alone achieving 92.5% extraction. The plant design includes primary and secondary crushing, a SAG mill followed by a ball mill, and a gravity circuit using a semi-batch centrifugal gravity concentrator.
Reagent handling and storage are integral to the process, with specific targets for L-CIL residence time (28 hours), pH (10.5 – 11.0), and cyanide addition (0.3 kg/t). The flowsheet includes pre-aeration, leaching, and CIL tanks, ensuring efficient gold recovery from the ore body. This report serves as a foundational document for the project’s economic evaluation and future development planning.
