Executive Summary
The Obonga Project, located in the Thunder Bay Mining Division of Ontario, Canada, is currently at an early exploration stage. The project is prospective for multiple styles of mineralization, notably Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) hosted Cu-Zn-Pb and mafic-ultramafic hosted Cu-Ni-PGE. Additional commodities such as Chrome, gold, and graphite are also considered prospective. As of the effective date of December 15, 2025, there is insufficient drilling data to conduct a Mineral Resource estimate, and no mining studies or cost estimates have been completed.
Environmental baseline studies were commissioned in 2021 and 2024, including surface water sampling and Species at Risk mitigation planning. While there is no infrastructure on the project itself, access is available via helicopter, with the Trans-Canada railroad and Highway 527 located within 30 km. The project remains at the grass roots level with no economic mineralization found to date, though exploration continues to target VMS and Cu-Ni styles.
Recommendations include additional diamond drilling at the Wishbone, Survey, and Awkward Prospects, combined with drone-based magnetic survey data and 3D modeling. Future work also suggests airborne VTEM and mag surveys to map prospective horizons, followed by ground-based electromagnetic surveys to refine conductor geometries. The proposed exploration budget is $2,000,000.
