Twin Hills Gold Project — 2022 Technical Report

Company O Sino Resources Corporation
Date 2022
Region Namibia
Commodities Gold
Status Exploration

Executive Summary

This NI 43-101 Technical Report for the Twin Hills Gold Project in Namibia indicates a material change in Mineral Resources compared to the 2021 PEA. Consequently, the previous PEA results are considered obsolete as the project currently has no defined Mineral Reserves or Mineral Resources with proven potential economic viability. The project is no longer regarded as an “Advanced Project” until a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) is published.

Executive Summary

This section of the Twin Hills Preliminary Economic Assessment Technical Report outlines the proposed recovery methods for the project. The processing plant is designed with an annual mineralised material feed capacity of 3.5 Mt. The metallurgical process design is based on testwork results indicating that a typical cyanide leaching process will be used to extract gold and silver onto activated carbon, which will subsequently be stripped and smelted to doré bullion.

The recommended comminution circuit is a 3-stage crushing and ball milling configuration (3C BM) to achieve a target grind size of 80% passing 75 microns. This circuit includes a C150 jaw crusher, HP6 secondary and tertiary cone crushers, and a 6.1m x 9.5m EGL ball mill. A gravity recovery circuit is also included to treat cyclone underflow, with the concentrate undergoing intense leaching and electrowinning.

Leaching is conducted via a six-stage Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) circuit with a nominal residence time of 30 hours, preceded by a 4-hour pre-oxidation tank to improve gold dissolution. Tailings management involves cyanide destruction using an air/SO2 process, followed by thickening, filtration, and drystacking. Water management focuses on recycling process solutions, with deficits made up from mine dewatering, boreholes, and potential bulk supply from Namwater.
