Executive Summary
The 2021 NI 43-101 Technical Report for the Woxna Graphite project by Zenito outlines a Pre-Feasibility Study (PEA) for the Woxna Concentrator and a Value Added Processing (VAP) facility. The project involves processing 160,000 tpa of Run of Mine (RoM) graphite ore with a grade of approximately 9.18% Cg. The concentrator produces graphite concentrate which is then transported to the VAP in Edsbyn for further processing into Cathode Spherical Graphite (CSPG) and micronized graphite.
The VAP facility utilizes micronizing, spheronization, thermal purification, and coating to produce battery-grade anode materials. The plant life is estimated at 19 years, with the concentrator operating at 88% availability and the VAP at 96% availability. The process design includes upgrades to the existing rod mill and flotation circuit, along with new equipment for the VAP stages.
Key production targets include 6,604 tpa of CSPG at a minimum grade of 99.95% Cg and 7,479 tpa of micronized graphite at 93% Cg. The decision to locate the VAP in Edsbyn was driven by better infrastructure availability compared to the mine site.
