The Gameta Au Project on Fergusson Island, Papua New Guinea, is an exploration-stage gold project progressing toward a mining lease application. Owned by Fergusson Gameta Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Fergusson Mining Pte Ltd) under Exploration Licence EL2546, the project is held through a joint venture between Adyton Resources Corporation and East Vision International Holdings. Construction timing has not been stated in the technical report. Metallurgical testwork has determined that the gold mineralisation is refractory and that flotation, rather than whole-ore cyanidation, is the preferred recovery method.

Overview
Metallurgical testwork was completed by Core Metallurgy in 2022 using samples collected from the 2021 diamond drilling program. The testwork examined both aged coarse rejects and fresh diamond core samples. Results showed that the gold mineralisation at Gameta is refractory to conventional cyanide leaching. Direct cyanidation produced low gold extractions, with bottle roll tests returning 3.8 to 19.6 percent and LeachWELL® tests returning 5.1 to 22.6 percent. These results led the study authors to conclude that whole-ore cyanidation is not a viable processing route for this deposit.
Flotation is the recommended primary recovery method. The testwork demonstrated that the mineralisation responds well to sulphide flotation, particularly when fresh, un-oxidised core material is used. A fresh composite sample was prepared for the key flotation tests. The reported recoveries are considered suitable for input into pit optimisation and financial modelling at the current level of study.
The concentrate produced is expected to be marketable to third-party smelters. An alternative processing pathway involves on-site treatment using an oxidative process such as the Albion Process™ or bacterial oxidation, followed by cyanidation to produce doré. However, the preferred flowsheet at this stage is a conventional flotation plant producing a saleable gold-silver concentrate. This approach aligns with Adyton’s stated preference for concentrate production.
Key Process Stages
The recovery process for the Gameta deposit begins with comminution, though no testwork has been completed to date for this stage. Parameters such as Bond Work Index and SMC testing will be required for detailed plant design. Following comminution, the ore enters the flotation circuit. The rougher flotation stage recovers gold and silver into a concentrate, with further upgrading achieved through cleaner flotation without regrind. The concentrate is then prepared for transport or on-site processing. Dewatering testwork for thickening and filtration has not been performed but can be benchmarked for scoping and pre-feasibility level studies.
Additional Interesting Data and Summary
The flotation results were derived from fresh composite samples only. Recoveries are sensitive to head grade and the degree of surface oxidation present in the feed material. The testwork did not examine variability across the deposit, and the report recommends further variability and optimisation testwork on fresh core to refine the flowsheet and confirm performance across the deposit.
The 2022 testwork represents the sole source of metallurgical data for the current study. Six drill holes were completed specifically to provide material for metallurgical testing, and the report recommends that this testing proceed to further advance the project. At the current level of study, a conventional flotation plant producing a saleable gold-silver concentrate remains the preferred flowsheet for the Gameta deposit.
Key note: The source states that flotation recoveries are considered suitable for pit optimisation and financial modelling at this stage. The draft should not infer project economics or performance beyond this stated suitability. The source also flags that comminution and dewatering testwork have not been completed, and these gaps will need to be addressed for detailed plant design. No conflicting or unclear statements were identified in the source material.
