Executive Summary

The Liberty Molybdenum Project is a pre-feasibility study for a copper-molybdenum sulfide ore processing operation. The processing facility is designed to handle 26,500 dry short tons per day (dst/d) or 9.67 million dry short tons per year. The design basis contemplates mining operations transporting mineralized material to the concentrator facility via off-highway haulage trucks. Conventional flotation technology will be used to recover copper and molybdenum from the project feed material, producing copper and molybdenum sulfide concentrates. The copper concentrate will be shipped by truck, while the molybdenum concentrate will be packaged in super-sacks for transport.

The process flow includes primary gyratory crushing, followed by two SAG mill/ball mill grinding circuits. The grinding product undergoes bulk rougher flotation, with the concentrate re-ground in a vertical mill before being upgraded through cleaner flotation circuits. The molybdenum-copper separation stage depresses copper minerals while floating molybdenite. Final concentrates are thickened, filtered, and dried—with the molybdenum concentrate using a hollow screw dryer and the copper concentrate filtered to less than 8% moisture.
