Sleeper Project — 2015 Preliminary Economic Assessment

Company Paramount Gold Nevada Corp.
Date 2015-12-10
Commodities Gold, Silver
Throughput 30 ktpd
Status Development (PEA)

Executive Summary

This Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) outlines the recovery methods and metallurgical assumptions for the Sleeper Project. The process facilities were designed around standard cyanide heap leaching with carbon-in-column and ADR recovery. The crushing circuit is sized for a throughput of 30,000 tons per day, producing a dore bar for direct sale to a regional refinery.

Metallurgical testing indicated varying recovery rates across different zones. The Facilities Zone and Overburden Dumps showed high gold recovery in cyanide leach tests, while the Westwood Zone and Sleeper Tails showed lower recovery. Based on historical performance and testing, specific recovery assumptions were applied to Alluvium, Dumps, Facilities Zone, Mixed Zones, Sleeper Zone, and Westwood Zone for the Whittle optimization.

The project assumes production of gold and silver sold at spot prices. Agglomeration is required for the heap leach process to ensure proper percolation. The process flow includes primary and secondary crushing to a P80 of 19 mm, followed by heap leaching and recovery via carbon-in-column and ADR.
