Mine Life Not Specified
Annual Production Not Specified
Status Exploration

Executive Summary

This section of the technical report addresses the assumed recovery methods for the Yandera Copper Project. It is proposed that a mill would be utilized to process both oxide and sulfide material, employing flotation recovery techniques. This assumption covers the general metallurgical approach required for the project’s ore types.

However, the report explicitly states that no work has been conducted to quantify the costs associated with these methods or to identify any fatal flaws. Due to the lack of detailed analysis and cost estimation, a comprehensive discussion on recovery methods is not included in this specific report update. The information provided remains preliminary and indicative of potential processing routes rather than finalized engineering designs.

Executive Summary

This section of the technical report outlines the preliminary recovery methods for the Yandera Project, based on ongoing metallurgical testwork. The proposed process plant is designed to handle an annual feed rate of 25 million tonnes, targeting the recovery of copper, molybdenum, gold, silver, and magnetite from hypogene feed types. The flowsheet includes primary crushing, semi-autogenous grinding, and a complex flotation and magnetic separation circuit to produce distinct concentrates.

The processing circuit begins with a 60-inch gyratory crusher feeding a coarse ore stockpile, followed by twin parallel SAG milling circuits to achieve a P80 grind size of 150 µm. Flotation trains are utilized for bulk rougher-scavenger recovery, followed by specific cleaning circuits for copper and molybdenum separation. Magnetite is recovered from flotation tails via low-intensity magnetic separation and reverse flotation.

Concentrates are managed through thickening and filtration. Copper and magnetite concentrates are pumped via pipeline to a storage and shiploading facility at Madang, while molybdenum concentrate is bagged and transported by road to Lae. Tailings are thickened and disposed of in an integrated facility. The design remains preliminary and subject to modification based on further testwork.
