Based on extensive metallurgical test work, the selected method is a crush, heap leach, and Merrill-Crowe recovery process. The project involves a three-stage crushing circuit designed to handle different mineralized materials with varying crush size sensitivities.
The crushing circuit utilizes a primary jaw crusher, a secondary cone crusher, and two tertiary cone crushers. Material is crushed to either 80% passing 1/2 inch or 1/8 inch depending on the rock type (Andesite/Bisbee vs. Rhyolite/Vein). Agglomeration is performed using lime and cement on conveyors downstream of the tertiary crusher.
Heap leaching is conducted using sodium cyanide solution, with pregnant leachate pumped to a Merrill-Crowe plant for gold and silver recovery. The final precipitate is shipped to a refiner for production. The leach pad is designed for an initial 1.5 years of production with expansions planned for the second and sixth years.
