Executive Summary
This technical report section outlines the recovery methods for the Gameta and Wapolu projects. Limited metallurgical testwork indicates that both projects are amenable to conventional crushing, grinding, and flotation to produce a gold-rich concentrate. The concentrate could be sold as is or further treated by roasting and cyanidation, or by BIOX processes.
Historical data from Wapolu in the mid-1990s utilized a combination of carbon-in-pulp and cyanide vat leach methods, targeting an overall gold recovery of 80%. Records suggest the plant did not achieve this recovery. Further metallurgical testwork will need to be completed prior to any project development decision.
