Executive Summary

The La Encantada Silver Mine, operated by First Majestic Silver Corp., is an underground mining operation located in Coahuila, Mexico. The facility processes run-of-mine ore through a crushing and grinding circuit followed by cyanide tank leaching and Merrill-Crowe recovery to produce silver doré bars. The plant has a design capacity of 3,400 tonnes per day and has been in operation for many years.

The technical report outlines the mineral resource and reserve estimates as of December 31, 2024. The mine life is projected to 2027 based on current reserves, with potential for extension through exploration. The processing plant utilizes a three-stage crushing system, ball mill grinding, and agitated cyanide leaching circuits. A roasting circuit exists but is currently in care and maintenance for refractory tailings reprocessing.

Environmental permits are current, including an Environmental Licence and water use permits. The operation maintains a decommissioning liability of $11.38 million. Economic analysis supports the mineral reserve declaration with positive cash flow under the assumed metal price guidance of US$28.00/oz silver.

Executive Summary

The La Encantada Silver Mine, located in Coahuila, Mexico, is an operating underground mine owned and operated by First Majestic Silver Corp. The property hosts high-temperature polymetallic replacement deposits primarily targeting silver, with associated lead and zinc. The mine has been under First Majestic operation since November 2006 and maintains a well-established cost management system. The current mine life plan extends to 2024, supported by estimated Mineral Reserves and a positive cash flow economic analysis.

The processing plant consists of two main areas: Plant No. 1 for crushing and grinding, and Plant No. 2 for leaching and recovery. The circuit utilizes a three-stage crushing system followed by a ball mill grinding circuit to achieve a P80 of 90 µm. Silver recovery is achieved through cyanide tank leaching in agitated tanks, followed by Counter-Current Decantation (CCD) and the Merrill-Crowe process to produce silver doré bars. A roasting circuit was added in 2018 to treat refractory tailings but is currently in care and maintenance pending upgrades.

Operational costs are estimated at $45.0 per tonne for production and $46.9 per tonne for cash costs. The mine relies on on-site power generation using LNG and diesel generators, with water sourced from wells. Recommendations include continued exploration drilling to replace resources and potential upgrades to the roasting and flotation circuits to recover base metals and improve silver recovery from refractory materials.
