Executive Summary
This section outlines the recovery methods evaluated for the project, referencing a previous study conducted by CMA and Inspectorate America Corporation. The study examined potential processing alternatives for flow-sheet development using four weathered samples selected from surface workings. These samples exhibited grades ranging from 43.7 g Ag/t to 266 g Ag/t and 1.18 g Au/t to 2.95 g Au/t.
Metallurgical testing included pulverization to 80 percent passing -200 mesh followed by flotation, cyanide bottle roll, and thiosulphate leaches. Cyanide leaching demonstrated silver recoveries between 56% and 90% and gold recoveries between 88% and 94%. Average chemical consumption was recorded at 0.92 kg/ton of NaCN and 1.68 kg/ton of lime.
WGM recommends that the previous tests be replicated and expanded using sample media derived from representative, unweathered mineralization, such as drill core. If archived core is insufficient, new drill holes using larger diameter (HQ) core should be completed to produce material specifically for metallurgical testing, with one sample assembled for each of the major mineralized zones.
