Executive Summary
Section 17 of the 2015 Technical Report details the recovery methods employed at the Stawell Gold Mines (SGM) facility. The processing plant utilizes a standard Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) gold recovery circuit integrated with crushing, grinding, and sulphide flotation. The facility is divided into five main areas: primary crushing, milling, flotation/ultra-fine grinding, leach-adsorption, and elution/electrowinning.
The ore treatment process involves recovering coarse gold via self-cleaning centrifugal gravity concentrators before subjecting the remaining ore to a two-stage flotation circuit to concentrate gold-bearing sulphides. To address preg-robbing caused by naturally occurring carbon species, kerosene is added to foul the carbon prior to the leach circuit. An ongoing metallurgical test work program validates plant recovery predictions against actual performance.
In the reporting period of January to December 2015, the mine achieved a total gold recovery of 36,321 ounces with an average recovery percentage of 80.78%. Infrastructure and systems for energy, water, and consumables are confirmed to be operating without expected impairments.

Executive Summary
The 2014 Technical Report details the recovery methods employed at Stawell Gold Mines (SGM). The facility utilizes a standard Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) circuit integrated with crushing, grinding, gravity recovery, and sulphide flotation. The plant is divided into five main areas: primary crushing, milling, flotation/ultra fine grinding, leach-adsorption, and elution/electrowinning.
Metallurgical test work is ongoing to determine expected plant recovery for ore blocks at a stope scale. This validates the robustness of forecast metallurgical assumptions used in project schedules. The ore exhibits preg-robbing characteristics due to naturally occurring carbon species, which is managed by adding kerosene to foul the carbon before the leach circuit.
Production data from 2012 to 2014 shows gold recovery rates ranging from 78.69% to 86.95%, with total ounces recovered varying annually. Infrastructure for energy, water, and consumables is reported as operating without expected impairments.

Executive Summary
The Stawell Gold Mine (SGM) processing facilities utilize a standard Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) gold recovery circuit. This circuit follows crushing and grinding operations and includes sulphide flotation capabilities, though the latter is bypassed for specific ore types. The treatment plant is organized into five distinct unit processes: size reduction, gravity gold recovery, flotation/ultra-fine grinding, leach-adsorption, and gold recovery.
Geographically, the plant is divided into five main areas corresponding to the unit processes: the primary crushing circuit, the milling circuit, the flotation/ultra-fine grinding circuit, the leach-adsorption circuit, and the elution/electrowinning circuit. This configuration allows for flexibility in treating different mineralisation types found within the mine.
Testing of samples from the Big Hill Northern and Southern areas, including the Davis Pit extension, has confirmed that flotation and regrind are not required for the current oxide mineralisation. Consequently, the current processing flow sheet treats stockpiled oxide ores with the flotation section bypassed, streamlining the recovery process for this specific ore type.

Executive Summary
The Stawell Gold Mine (SGM) utilizes a standard Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) gold recovery circuit following crushing, grinding, and sulphide flotation. The treatment plant consists of five unit processes: size reduction (crushing and milling), gravity gold recovery, flotation/ultra fine grinding, leach-adsorption, and gold recovery. The plant is geographically organized into five main areas: primary crushing circuit, milling circuit, flotation/ultra fine grinding circuit, leach-adsorption circuit, and elution/electrowinning circuit.
Coarse gold, comprising up to 30% of the gold in mill feed, is recovered from the milling circuit using self-cleaning centrifugal gravity concentrators. Approximately 75% of the ore requires further liberation of gold from sulphides, achieved through a two-stage flotation circuit where gold-bearing sulphides (pyrite, arsenopyrite, and some pyrrhotite) are concentrated. The sulphide is ground to approximately 0.01 millimetres in an ultra-fine grinding mill to liberate enclosed gold (up to 20% of the gold in mill feed). The ground sulphides and flotation tail are recombined and sent to the CIL circuit.
Stawell ore exhibits various degrees of preg-robbing of gold, where naturally occurring carbon species (graphite) in the ore rob gold from the pregnant liquor in the leach circuit. To combat this, kerosene is added to foul the naturally occurring carbon before it enters the leach circuit. Total gold recovery for the calendar year averaged 84.72% and for the first quarter of 2012 averaged 84.63%.
