Executive Summary
The Yaouré gold processing plant has been in operation since late November 2020. It was designed for a nominal 3.3 Mt/a capacity processing CMA pit fresh ore, but has exceeded nameplate by processing 3.9 Mt of an ore blend in the financial year ending June 30, 2023. The plant has treated a total of 9.4 Mt of ore at an average grade of 2.26 g/t to yield 634 koz of gold at an average recovery of 92.7%.
Section 17 of this report summarises key technical data for the recovery of gold from Yaouré Gold Mine ore deposits. The process design criteria were developed based on CMA fresh ore, utilizing an SABC comminution circuit (SAG milling, pebble crushing, and ball milling). The flowsheet includes a gravity concentration circuit for coarse gold recovery, followed by a hybrid leach/CIL cyanidation circuit with one leach stage and six CIL tanks.
Plant operating performance confirms that the design criteria align with the amenability of the mineralisation. The plant utilizes a Split AARL elution circuit and SO2/air cyanide destruction for tailings disposal. Power and water requirements are managed through site infrastructure and river abstraction from the Bandama River.
