Executive Summary
This technical report details the recovery methods and processing plant operations for the Dalny Mine Complex, prepared for New Dawn Mining Corp in December 2012. The mine operates as an underground facility where mineralized material is transported by tractors or hoisted to a grizzly. The processing circuit begins with crushing, where oversize material is processed by a 14/24′ Telsmith Jaw crusher and further reduced by Symons cone crushers in closed circuit with vibrating screens. Run of mine material and dump sands are treated through parallel ball mill circuits, with capacities ranging from 120 tpd to 1,000 tpd depending on the mill size and feed type.
The leaching and adsorption process utilizes two distinct circuits, Rix 1 and Rix 2. Rix 1 is dedicated to sands and dumps, utilizing Pachuca tanks and CIL tanks with a cyanide dosage of 0.80 kg/t. Rix 2 treats run-of-mine ore using dedicated leach and adsorption tanks with a higher cyanide dosage of 1.30 kg/t to achieve higher recovery targets. Both circuits employ counter-current carbon transfer, with loaded carbon periodically withdrawn for elution. The elution plant uses an Atmospheric Zadra System with thermal regeneration of carbon at temperatures exceeding 700°C.
The overall recovery of treated mineralized material at the Dalny Mine Complex is reported at 70%. Tailings from the leach residues are pumped to a slimes dam for decanting, with water recycled back to the plant for hydro-sluicing and milling. Smelting of gold bullion is conducted weekly as the final production stage. The report confirms that existing power, water, and processing material supplies are sufficient for the current production plan.
