Asset and study context
The historical Lincoln Hill assessment compared heap leaching with a milling/CIL alternative for gold and silver mineralisation. Its preliminary economics selected run-of-mine heap leaching. The figures below are study assumptions from that historical concept; they are not current operating results or a statement that the plant was built.
Historical heap-leach flowsheet
The selected case delivered ROM material to a heap-leach pad at 4,400 t/d. It assumed a 120-day primary leach cycle, a 200-day total leach cycle and about 8 Mt of pad capacity. Pregnant solution was modelled at approximately 567 m³/h to a Merrill-Crowe plant, producing precious-metal precipitate for doré production and off-site final refining.
Recovery assumptions
The historical ROM-heap-leach estimate assumed 60% gold recovery and 57% silver recovery. A cyanide application-rate assumption of 0.16 L/min/m² appeared in the associated technical-summary material. These values remain appropriate only as historical study inputs and require updated test work and engineering before being used for a development decision.
Current Rochester-area context
Coeur identifies Lincoln Hill among the projects within its Rochester mine land package. Rochester is an operating open-pit, heap-leach silver-gold complex and Coeur has continued regional exploration work at Lincoln Hill. Coeur’s operating Rochester throughput and infrastructure should not be conflated with the smaller, historical 4,400 t/d Lincoln Hill concept described above.
